Life As A Boy
My first book of poetry. One hulking tome filled with tales of lost loves, unavoidable idiosyncrasies and city life told through the eyes of one precocious Manchild.
The Breeze Magazine
The Monthly Breeze was a newsletter that I affectionately deemed to address the needs of the upwardly immobile African American homosexual. The Breeze Magazine is a compilation of the best articles published over the years.
Issue #1 includes the articles "Why Cicely Tyson is God" and "Urban Homosexuality 101"
Issue #2 includes "The Nigger v. Faggot Conundrum" and "Much Ado About Mary Kay Letourneau"
Breeze Vincinz graduated from Columbia College in June 1996 with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and an astounding student loan that’s a pain in his liberal ass. The rearing he obtained procured many professional resumes which reaped a cornucopia of job opportunities including Subway Sandwiches, Jacob Brother’s Bagels and various uplifting and fulfilling responsibilities in mailrooms across the country. These life experiences, along with the other zany and wacky adventures that existed in the Ida B. Wells housing projects of his youth, demanded an outlet for his expression.
Discovering through first hand experience that yelling “BOMB” at the top of his lungs in a crowded airport, stripping butt naked and running backwards down Fifth and Figueroa and also commemorating the phrase “Postal” by strapping little clay bombs to his chest and running into his mailroom of employment singing “FIGHT THE POWER” were not only very unhealthy modes of expression, but also very illegal.
After receiving diverse forms of shock therapy while incarcerated, it was decided a more literary approach might be more appropriate. Thus began his voracious appetite to write meaningful screenplays, teleplays, fiction and poetic compositions. Though he occasionally suffers mild ticks from the shock therapy and colorful delusions of various aquatic animals performing drag shows in crowded malls throughout the state of Nebraska, he is very optimistic about his future. He has successfully turned his maniac depressive behaviors into passive aggressive prose. His head is usually in the clouds looking for inspiration.
He now lives in Los Angeles, California.
